UPP detergent saves the day (remix)

After yet another weekend experience where we (accidentally) tried to ruin linens in a rental property, I thought I’d replicate our accident and show you-with pictures- how this detergent saved the day.

I left a pen open on a white bedspread, only to find a large ring of ink tempting me to have a panic attack. With our history at rentals, I knew I should pack my norwex laundry detergent “just in case”….just in case is “almost always” with us. So I rinsed out the ink, only to find blue spreading to more areas.  I sprinkled on the Norwex Ultra Power Plus detergent, and let it soak in a small amount of water for 15 min. It was better, but not gone. After 30 minutes, the ink had disappeared and it was like nothing had ever happened. What???

So when I got home, I tried the same experiment with Biokleen, another dye/additive free detergent I like. After two hours, it didn’t look hopeful. But the next morning it had also fully removed the ink. The main difference was the amount of time it took, and how much detergent I had to use to get the results. I’ll post a break down of the cost difference in my next post.

This detergent has saved us from more than a few accidents that threatened to ruin the day! I never travel without it, and because it’s concentrated it’s easy to throw a Tablespoons in my toiletry bag. Let me know if you want to learn more about this amazing travel companion.
