Can your dish towels do this?

I am not a huge fan of the feeling of dry microfiber, and because Norwex does such a great job of grabbing onto every little bit of everything, I had a mental obstacle about the idea of touching dry microfiber. It really makes my already dry hands cringe. So, I never purchased any Norwex kitchen towels. I love my kitchen cloths, envirocloths, and even the dry window cloth, because it has a really smooth texture. But I avoided the towels.

And then I received a free kitchen towel as a hostess gift. It's purple (not my favorite color) but it has quickly become my go-to towel in the kitchen, and now I've added a set to my wish list. It's embarrassing to be wrong about things. It doesn't bother my dry hands at all, and the benefits far outweigh the mental hurdle I had. ;-)

So what makes this so great? First of all, microbiber holds 7% of its weight, which for a Norwex kitchen towel translates into about 12 oz of water. I live in a house with 9 people; do you know how much stuff gets spilled here? Even when this towel has all that water in it, it doesn't drip. We can dry a dinner's worth of dishes with just one towel (but I have six kids so I really need a few more...towels, not kids, bless their hearts). Even when it already has over 4oz of water in it, it can dry without leaving a streak.

The Norwex towels have the same BacLock technology that kills 99% of bacteria as the cloths (with proper care and use) so when I hang it out to dry, it dries quickly while working on the bacteria, which means I don't have to wash it as often. I've never washed a Norwex product because it was getting skanky, only because it was truly dirty. It's really nice not to have the Washcloths of Death Smell in my kitchen anymore.

And just like the Norwex kitchen cloths, this towel grabs on to everything. My girls recently used this towel underneath their bowl of green beans they were prepping for me. After they were done, this is what the towel looked like. This is a great visual if you want to get an idea of just how much Norwex towels and cloths pick up with their tightly woven microfiber. I thought I was the haven maker in this house, but perhaps my Norwex products are doing a bigger share of the work?

how crazy is this? those are green beans hanging on for dear life
